Firuzeh Mahmoudi is the co-founder and the Executive Director of United4Iran. She has expertise in network building, collaborative leadership, global coordination and project management. She earned master’s degrees in both environmental science and public affairs and received her economics BA from UC Berkeley. From 2002 to 2006, Ms. Mahmoudi served as the international co-coordinator of the global coalition Health Care Without Harm, which has 350+ member groups in over 50 countries. From 2005 through 2009, Ms. Mahmoudi led a $23 million United Nations project aimed at reducing the volume and toxicity of health care waste in eight low-income countries around the world (gefmedwaste.org). Ms. Mahmoudi has worked directly in more than ten countries, with partners in another thirty countries, and has served on the Board of Directors for many organizations.
