Jean McDevitt is a Principal in the Tax Department of Baker Newman Noyes, LLC, an accounting and consulting firm with offices in Portland, Maine, Manchester and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Boston, Massachusetts. Jean has been with the firm since 2001 providing high wealth individuals and families with tax planning and compliance services. She holds a B.A. in History and Environmental Studies from Tufts University and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. Jean has worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine, YMCA of Southern Maine, and the Rotary Club of Yarmouth, Maine. In her spare time, Jean loves traveling, hiking, and reading. Autumn finds her turning to baking as she relishes the fall flavors of apple and pumpkin. As an amateur photographer, her most common subject is her black and tan dachshund, Maximus, her short-legged sidekick since 2002. Jean is excited to work with Hardy Girls Healthy Women and put into action her belief that empowering youth – especially girls – to dream and embrace opportunity is essential to building strong communities.
