Skye is a junior at Baxter Academy and the co-president of GAB this year. She is an invested STEM student and athlete, engaging in combat sports such as rugby and jiu jitsu. She hopes to continue work in physics and has focused her attention specifically on particle physics. Skye’s passion for social justice carries into her love of STEM and sports, encouraging girls to get into both and ignore those who tell them it’s a “man’s field”. She is also a huge advocate for women’s reproductive rights and the right to comprehensive sex education. She has worked with organizations across Maine to spread this message to everyone. When she is not in a lab or on the field she’s working as a math tutor or protesting the patriarchy. She hopes to empower all to stand up and make a change in the world.
