Dear Friends,

I am excited to invite you all to welcome Kelli McCannell, as the incoming President of Hardy Girls Healthy Women. Kelli’s background in non-profit leadership, coupled with her enthusiasm and passion for girl’s activism, all position her to astutely lead us into our next stage of growth and development.

As a native and longtime resident of San Diego California, Kelli most recently served as Executive Director of San Diego Writers, Ink. and before that cultivated her interest in fundraising as Development Director at Volunteer San Diego. With a move to Maine last year, Kelli pursued her passion for working with youth at Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield as Dorms and Activities Director.  Kelli holds a master’s degree from Gonzaga University in Organizational Leadership, and that, combined with her earlier experience in organizations such as The Red Cross and Girls Scouts of America make Kelli an ideal leader for Hardy Girls.

“As a long-time admirer of Hardy Girls, I am thrilled to join the organization. I am already inspired by the strategic, holistic, strength-based programming, informed by girls and for girls. With the dedicated Board and generous donors, I am confident we can lead HGHW to the next level, maintaining our roots in Central Maine and deepening our presence in Southern Maine and beyond,” Kelli said of the new position.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I wish to thank you all for your continued support during this time of transition. We are excited about embarking on our next organizational phase with Kelli at the helm and hope you will join us as we continue to serve girls and women in Maine and beyond. During these next few months we will be hosting receptions in both Waterville and Portland to introduce Kelli to our Hardy Girls community and hope to see many of you there. Be looking for an invitation soon!
In the meantime, if you’d like to leave a message welcoming Kelli, please do so on our Facebook page.

Warm Thanks,

Anne Brennan Belden
